Bond Arms, the Texas-based gunmaker best known for its break-open, double-barrel pistols, is celebrating 30 years in business in 2025. While the handgun market has largely shifted toward polymer, striker-fired pistols, Bond Arms has stayed true to its roots by building robust, stainless-steel handguns designed to be compact yet powerful for concealed carry.
Founded in 1995 by Greg Bond, the company set out to reinvent the classic Remington Model 95 derringer, a 19th-century pocket pistol, which had garnered a reputation for poor safety and materials. Bond redesigned it with a stronger frame, modern safety features like a patented trigger safety and rebounding hammer, and an all-stainless construction capable of handling big-bore cartridges.
Over the decades, Bond Arms pistols have become highly modular: owners can swap barrels and grips to change calibers and ergonomics, making one pistol platform adaptable to many needs. The company also expanded its lineup with more affordable “Rough Series” models and other lightweight options to broaden appeal.
For the 30th anniversary, Bond Arms has introduced special edition models that celebrate its legacy of American-made craftsmanship while staying true to practical design rather than overly decorative collector editions. These anniversary pistols honor three decades of dedication to rugged, dependable pocket firearms.
