How did we get the price down so low?

Bond Arms has been well known for having a premium fit and finish to every gun we make.  To get to that level of aesthetic quality it takes a lot of time. We have taken that process and trimmed it down to create a gun that still has the robust qualities of our pre-existing models without all of the frills.
People have asked, are you using die cast or pot metals? The answer is NO!! They are all the same grade of stainless steel like our current production models.
To give you an idea of our current process for manufacturing our current guns, we literally sand every part, then we spend a tremendous amount of time Polishing and hand finishing all these same parts to the Quality Finish that Bond Arms has always been known for.
Quality Control (QC) on our current guns nearly borders on excessive. Once the guns are shot and all functions work as they should, our QC guys then go to extreme measures to find every cosmetic flaw, scratch, ding, or pit or anything else that didn’t pass our inspection. This means the guns are sent back to be fixed, which in most cases, involve totally disassembling the gun to re-polish or fix any flaw that they may find. On occasion the same gun may go through that same process 3 to 4 times until it passes QC.
With the RoughNeck and Rough N Rowdy series, we do minimal clean up and deburr to make sure there are no sharp edges and then we bead blast the finish. With this gun, part of the COOL FACTOR is that you can actually see the parting lines in the metal frame and trigger guard. As a final touch we left in some of the swirly tool marks on the barrel just to give it that more ROUGH & TUMBLE Look. Also, since we are not sanding and polishing the frame, you may see tiny casting imperfections and rough areas that would never be acceptable for our current line of products.
This may not sound like much, but in comparison we can build 4 to 5 RoughNeck’s in the same time as it takes to build ONE Texas Defender. That Is a Huge Amount of Savings on LABOR that allows us to pass those SAVINGS down to the consumer’s level, which for the First Time Ever has allowed us to have a new Bond Arms Hand Cannon available for under $300!
After this past NRA show we saw that most of the higher volume sales of handguns were in the $300 to $350 and below range. When we came back from the show we set down and went part by part on our gun and by still using the same quality of parts we came up with ways to reduce cost on every part, but still build a TANK Of a Gun….

Great gun
Got it for fishing trips and walks around creeks and rivers for snakes turned out to be a good conceal the gun and home defense, 410 home defense shells in it or 45 long. Just can't beat it for an all-around little gun.

My review of the new Rowdy.....
I've wanted one of the Bond Arms in a .410 for a long time, but couldn't bring myself to spend that much money. The Rowdy changed all of that, & I have no doubt that this product line is going to do quite well for Bond Arms! First off, this is one solid, well-built derringer. The internal parts are the same as the original models, but the finish is not. I actually love the looks of this little guy, & I think the general public will as well! It's easy on the eyes. I couldn't believe how solid it felt when I first picked it up. I purchased a variety of ammo to try in it; Hornady Critical Defense, #6 shot shells, 000 buckshot, and rifled slugs, all 2 1/2# in .410. This little gem is a handful when you squeeze the trigger, & it's obviously a close range weapon (10-15'), but it digested anything I fed it. The trigger has a very long & stout pull, but I can't find anything else that I would change about this very unique weapon. It will definitely spend a lot of time with me when I'm outside at my place, & on my nightstand. Thank you Bond Arms for a super offering!!!

Rowdy Grips
After I left my Rowdy in the truck for a few days in the Texas summer heat, the grips fell apart. I guess when they were put on when built, the screw holding them on was tightened to much and the plastic gave way. I can't afford the pricey grips from Bond right now so I super glued them back together and don't leave it in the truck anymore. Gun shoots great.

Jakes right, Great Farm Gun!
My family went together and bought me one of these Rowdy derringers in 45 Colt / 410. I am very impressed with the little hand cannon. We live on a farm in Tennessee so I am always out piddling around there and it is small convenient and effective against snakes. The recoil, even with the 00 Buck or Triple threat defense loads, is quit manageable.
