Yosemite Sam Would Approve

Yosemite Sam used little guns with a Big hole in the front. The Bond Arms Cowboy Defender chambered in 45 Colt / 410 Shotgun ammo is just the ticket for them Varmints when they cross your path out on the urban trails.

Great Choice for Conceal Carry

After much review and consideration. I decided the SnakeSlayer would make a great conceal carry weapon. It will fit in my pocket or wife’s purse, the either the 45 or 410 pack plenty of punch. For the critics who worry about only two shots or not very accurate. The purpose of this weapon, is personnel protection. If you plan on getting into a shoot out with multiple gunmen this is not the gun for you. But if you want personnel protection that provides power and absolute reliability then definitely take a look at any of Bond Arms derringers.

Great Company

I was wanting a Bond Arms but all I could find at that time was a 22 mag. I knew Bond had a special on barrels which was half price if you bought a new Bond Arms that month. So I bought the 22 mag. Went home and ordered a 3 1/2 barrel in 45 colt / 410 and a pair of oversized rubbergrips. Had them in less than 2 weeks. In about 2 minutes I changed them out. Barrel was easy to change and fit’s great. Oversized grips help with recoil. Great people!

Homerun – Texas Defender

I bought my first Bond Arms gun in December and my second barrel in January. I was concerned with the recoup/kickback so I decided to go small with a .38/.357 Texas Defender. I went to the range to fire my weapon for the first time and I soon had a gaggle form around me. Questions started to arrive “what is it”, “where did you get it”, “what caliber are you shooting”, etc. I was even asked by a few of hue guys if they could fire it hi how they find of course. Well the recoil and kickback were minimal, so I decided to order the .45 long colt/.410 barrel. Needless to say I was delighted with the way the weapon handled and the excellent shot patterns at 12 feet. I am bragging to all my friends about the weapon and hopefully you’ll get some orders soon. I think you and I both hit a home run with this weapon.

USA Defender: It Meets All Expectations!

I purchased the USA Defender .410/45LC, it included the BAD Driving Holster. This is a limited production gun so I had a short wait for my local dealer find one. It was worth the wait. After I purchased it customer service at Bond Arms made it very easy to exchange the holster for a left handed version. In addition Bond Arms gave me a discount code to use on an additional barrel. I purchased a 357/38 barrel. I have fired PDX1 .410 Defender shotshells and 38 Special caliber shells so far. I was pleasantly surprised at how manageable the recoil is on .410’s and that is almost non-existent on the 38’s. I especially liked getting six hits on the target with two shots using the PDX1 .410’s. This is a high quality gun, that met all of my expectations.

Patriot: An Awesome Gun!

Purchased the Patriot for a Christmas present for myself, what a fine quality well constructed piece! Took it out and shot it and what a pleasure! Thought it would have more kick but was surprised that it was very manageable! I ordered the 4.25 barrel in the same caliber 45/410, and another quality piece from Bond. I am going to order a Snake Slayer also, that is how much I am impressed with Bond Arms! Keep up the great American work and pride!

The Patriot

Very pleased with product quality! I bought 2 additional barres, 3.5 inch 9mm, an, an the 3 inch 44 special. Gun came with 45/410 3 inch, I am happy with all 3. Very accurate for a small hand gun. Looking forward to buying another. All you have to do is hold it and you will feel the quality.

Pocket Shotgun

I have fired my texas defender in 45LC/.410 and enjoyed it. It is extremely loud and turned heads at the pistol range when I fired the .410 2 1/2 inch rounds out of it. It is a fun gun and easy to carry as a back up gun or personal defense.

Truck Gun

Cool little weapon. Bought it on a whim, but the more I examine, clean, and now shoot I love it. Not as much kick as I expected.personal defense 410. Easily concealed, great quality.Bought 38/357 barrel but haven’t a chance to try that one yet.

Well Pleased

I’m not an impulse buyer and studied the various Bond models for well over a year after my LE son-in-law got his Texas Defender. That includes watching many of Gordon’s and others videos. I’d concluded I wanted the SS or SSIV for the little longer barrel. The gun show was in town last month and I ran up on a really good deal on a 410/45LC Snake Slayer – impulse won!

I had a chance to fire a couple of dozen rounds the next day and while never a crack shot with any pistol, I was consistently grouping shots on some 12″x12″ pine board scraps with the 45C at paced off 6-7 yards. It did take a few rounds to get the feel of the sights and relation of upper and lower barrels. At that range all of the OOO pellets were on the target boards.

The SS feels more natural in my hand than the smaller gripped Texas Defender. Recoil was less than anticipated with the mix of 45C’s and several 410 loads, both 2-1/2″ and 3″. I was a bit surprised by the lack or only very slight vertical component of kick. Most of the recoil was felt in horizontal direction, i.e., palm of hand, but very manageable with any of the loads I tried.

All in all, I am very pleased with handling and accuracy for the intended range of my Snake Slayer and as all say, it is extremely well made. I will be adding at least a 22LR barrel for some fun shooting.

I forget the exact source(s) and will paraphrase the philosophy some have said about the Bonds and personal defense. It makes you think before you act being single action and only two shots and not an easy weapon to over react with. Good advice and probably very defensible legally if, God forbid, push came to shove.
